
Men’s Volleyball Powers Past NVU-Johnson 3-0, Advances to NECC Tournament Semifinals
QUINCY, Mass.- The No. 3 seed Eastern Nazarene College men's volleyball team notched a 3-0 victory over sixth-seeded Northern Vermont-Johnson in the opening round of the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Tournament Tuesday evening at the Lahue Athletic Center. With the win, the Lions advance to their second consecutive NECC Tournament semifinals to face No. 2 seed Nichols.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Lions cruised to a 25-10 win in the first set to claim a 1-0 edge.
- Eastern Nazarene posted a 25-16 victory in the second frame to widen the margin to 2-0.
- The home side prevailed 25-20 in the third to secure its fourth win in a row.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Alejandro Garcia Fernandez (San Juan, P.R.) finished with nine kills, five aces, and four digs.
- Delfy Soler (Lawrence, Mass.) registered nine kills, four digs, and a pair of service aces.
- Jacob Zarges (Quincy, Mass.) chipped in with six kills and three digs.
- Nathan Jacques (Casselberry, Fla.) tallied 19 assists, eight digs, four kills, and two aces.
- Xee Anderson paced the Badgers with five kills, six assists, and six digs while Bar Suster and Sam Munson both added three kills.

Third-seeded Eastern Nazarene will head to No. 2 seed Nichols April 13 in the NECC Tournament semifinals. The showdown will be a rematch of last season's NECC Tournament semifinals.
