THE LEAD –  The Lynx hosted VTSU Johnson for a conference matchup tonight at Minuteman Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Badgers came out strong in the first set, recording five aces from Max Ludlow before the Lynx snagged a point. Lesley put two up on the board before VTSU went on an 11 point run to put them ahead 16-3. The Lynx snagged 4 more points but dropped the set 25-7.
• The start of the second set had the Badgers and Lynx battling point for point, until VTSU went on a 16 point streak to pull ahead 24-6, winning the set on the next serve.
• VTSU took the first four points of the third, but allowed Lesley to battle it back and come within 2 points. The Lynx stayed within 4 points for majority of the match, up to the 11-7 mark. VTSU scored eight unanswered points to secure a lead, eventually winning 25-10.  

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• Rayann Fatahi and Jillian Donlan contributed a pair of kills each on the match.
• Estephany Morales contributed three assists and three digs for the Lynx.
• VTSU's Max Ludlow recorded an astounding 16 aces on the match.
