2018 Men's Tennis Schedule Released

JOHNSON, Vt. – The Johnson State College Athletic Department today released the 2018 men's tennis schedule. The Badgers will play 12 contests, including six North Atlantic Conference (NAC) games and seven home games.

Sixth-year head coach Charlie Yerrick and his team will open the season on March 17th, when they host Castleton at 1:00 p.m. The Badgers will host two more non-conference matches in March, with Norwich visiting on the 22nd and UMaine-Fort Kent coming in on the 25th.

Johnson starts April at home, hosting Lyndon on the 3rd. The Badgers will visits Colby-Sawyer and Castleton on the 7th and 8th for their first conference matches of the season, then visit Norwich on April 11th for a non-conference match. Johnson hosts a NAC contest against Thomas on the 14th, before visiting Sage the following day. The Badgers visit Lyndon for a NAC game on the 18th, then close out the season hosting Western New England and MCLA on the 20th and 21st.

The 2018 North Atlantic Conference East Division Tournament will be held on Saturday, April 28th at Castleton University, with the top four teams qualifying. The first round will be played in the morning with the top seed playing the fourth seed and the second seed playing the third seed. The winners will advance to the final round, which will be played in the afternoon. The NAC East Division Champion will go on to compete against the winner of the West Division in the NAC Championship. The winner will go on to represent the conference in the NCAA Division III Tournament.

Johnson finished the 2017 season 1-13 overall and 0-6 in conference play.
