MTEN: Badgers End Season with Loss to Norwich

NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The Johnson State College men's tennis team fell to Norwich University 9-0 in a non-conference match on Wednesday afternoon.

Doubles

The Cadets took all three doubles to start the match up 3-0. The team of Gerrit Lane (Moretown, Vt.) and Joseph Holloway (London, England) dropped first doubles to 8-2. Quinn Lambert (Joppatowne, Md.) and Evan Daigneault (Newfane, Vt.) fell in second doubles 8-0, while Colin Compagna (Morrisville, Vt.) and Tyler Cirillo (Colchester, Vt.) fell 8-1 in third doubles.

Singles

Norwich won all six singles to sweep the match 9-0. Lane dropped straight 6-1 sets to lose first singles, while Holloway fell in second singles 6-0, 6-0. Lambert dropped third singles in straight 6-0 sets.

Daigneault and Compagna each fell in straight 6-0 sets in fourth and fifth singles, while Cirillo lost the sixth singles pro-set 8-0.
