The North Atlantic Conference (NAC) has released the 2018 Men's and Women's Track & Field Pre-Championship Polls. The Johnson men were picked to finish 7th (11 points) while the women were voted to come in 6th (15 points). The polls were based on a vote conducted by the league's coaches.
MEN'S COACHES POLL
Colby-Sawyer was selected to repeat as champions, receiving five first-place votes for a total of 47 points for the top spot, while Husson garnered the remaining two first-place votes for 39 points to claim second and UMaine-Farmington took third with 35 points.
Castleton was tabbed fourth just three points behind the Beavers with 32 points, while UMaine-Presque Isle was fifth (17 points), Lyndon took sixth (15 points) and Johnson placed seventh (11 points).
WOMEN'S COACHES POLL
The Colby-Sawyer women were selected to repeat as the champions after receiving five first-place votes for a total of 47 points, while Husson, the 2017 runner-up, garnered the remaining two first-place votes for 44 points to claim second and Castleton took third with 34 points.
UMaine-Farmington was tabbed fourth just five points behind the Spartans with 29 points, while Lyndon was fifth (17 points), Johnson took sixth (15 points) and UMaine-Presque Isle placed seventh (10 points).
