WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Johnson State College men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Plansky Invitational hosted by Williams College on Saturday. The women placed 3^rd as a team while the men came in 5^th.

WOMEN'S RECAP

Brynn Cairns (Rutland, Vt.) finished in seventh place to lead the Badgers. Ashley Fogg (White River Junction, Vt.) came in next for the Badgers in 20^th, while Sarah Sodaro (Monkton, Vt.) and Emily Cass (Braintree, Vt.) followed, finishing 21^st and 22^nd, respectively. Elizabeth Tapia (Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin was Johnson's fifth scorer, coming in 24^th.

MEN'S RECAP

Jacob Greenia (Sheldon, Vt.) led the way for Johnson with a 39^th place finish, while Daniel Ott (Wyoming, N.Y.) and Kyle Duffy (Waterbury Center, Vt.) followed right behind in 40^th and 41^st. Sheldon Billings (Ossipee, N.H.) and Cole Shebak (Brookline, N.H.) rounded out the top five for Johnson with 43^rd and 46^th place finishes.

NEXT UP 

Jonson will compete in the North Atlantic Conference Championship at UMaine-Farmington on Saturday, October 28^th. The men will run first at 11:00 a.m., followed by the women at noon.
