Badgers Battle Bears at The Spring Games

CLERMONT, FL.-The Northern Vermont University-Johnson softball team returned to action on Wednesday afternoon at The Spring Games against St. Joseph's College Brooklyn. The Bears earned the win in five innings outscoring the Badgers 15-0.

The Bears opened up the contest strong as Sierra Bedrin hit an inside the park homerun for the first score of the game. The Bears limited the Badgers in the bottom of the first after Laura Dattilio earned the only hit for the Badgers with a double to right center field. 

In the second frame the Bears took the demanding lead scoring seven runs off six hits. The Badgers defense held the Bears scoreless in the third inning as Jordan Galluzo and Lindsey LaPerle made routine plays to end the inning. 

The Bears continued to drive in runs scoring six runs in the fourth inning and one run in the top of the fifth frame to cruise to the 15-0 win. 

Bridget Hamel (0-5) recorded two strikeouts for the contest and Madison Erhardt earned the win for the Bears recording five strikeouts.
