Scots Bats Overcome Badgers

CLERMONT, FL.- The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's softball team battled Alma in their first game of Thursday afternoon. This is the second time that the Badgers have faced the Scots throughout The Spring Games. Alma earned the win in five innings by a score of 18-0.

Lindsey LaPerle and Bridget Hamel recorded the only hits for the Badgers in the opening game against the Scots. It wasn't until the second inning that the Scots made a push offensively scoring seven runs to take the 9-0 advantage.

The Badgers would battle defensively but the Scots bats would be too much as they scored three runs in the third inning and six runs in the fourth to earn the win by a score of 18-0.

The Scots recorded 21 hits on the contest and Skylar Crisenbery earned the win for Alma. Hamel pitched the duration for the Badgers recording the loss (0-8), two strike outs and three walks.
