Concordia M'Head Cruises to 12-4 Win Over Badgers

CLERMONT, FL.-The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's softball team entered their last day of the 2020 Spring Games and faced off against Concordia College- Moorhead in their opening game of the day. The Badgers dropped the contest by a score of 12-4 in five innings.

Laura Dattilio and Lindsey LaPerle got on base early in the top of the first as each recorded a single. Dattilio would advance home for the first run of the contest after Kristy Svarczkop grounded out to second base. Concordia would close the top of the inning following a Badger strikeout. 

Concordia would score two runs in the bottom of the inning to take the 2-1 advantage. The Badgers would continue to get on base and would score a run in both the second and third frame of action but defensively the Badgers struggled to contain the Concordia bats as they scored eight runs more runs after three innings. 

Svarczkop would lead the Badgers with two RBI's and NVU-Johnson would score an additional run in the top of the fifth inning but would fall in the bottom of the inning as Concordia would cruise to the 12-4 win.

The Badgers recorded eight hits and Bridget Hamel would pitch a complete game earning one strike out.

With the loss the Badgers fall to 0-9 on the season and Concordia would improve to 1-0 overall.
