Women's Soccer Announces the Commitment of Emily Carchia for 2020 Season

JOHNSON, Vt.-The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's soccer program and Head Coach Andrew Lafrenz have earned a commitment from Emily Carchia for the upcoming 2020 season.

Emily Carchia a native of North Haven, Connecticut and a member of the girls' varsity soccer program at Sacred Heart Academy located in Hamden, Connecticut. In 2018 Carchia was awarded the coach's award for outstanding commitment and team play. 

When arrived at Northern Vermont University-Johnson Carchia plans on studying Business and Sociology/Anthropology. "I chose NVU-Johnson because of the people I met there," Said Carchia. "Everyone at the university was very accommodating towards me. They are so passionate about what they are doing and go out of their way to help you."

Emily Carchia is excited to continue her soccer career at the collegiate level and believe Coach Lafrenz will maximize her potential. "I am very excited to play for Coach Lafrenz. I really liked his genuine demeanor, you can really tell that he loves the game, team and university. I like the fact that he wants to work with each player individually and develop them to become better. I have wanted to play college soccer for several years now and I am extremely grateful that I now have the chance to do so, especially as part of the Badger family. I know that these next four years will be great."

The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's soccer program are excited to bring in Emily Carchia as their third official commitment for the 2020 season and will announce additional commitments in the near future.
