Women's Volleyball Sweep Season Series Against Hornets

JOHNSON, Vt.- The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's volleyball team completed the season sweep of NVU-Lyndon winning 3-0 in a non-conference match on Wednesday evening.

It was a collective effort for the Badgers in the win. Freshman Porsche Johnson led the team with five kills and five service aces. The Badgers combined for 29 service aces on the evening, Brooke Scheier and Calleen Ferris added four kills each and Kayla Atkinson and Alexandra Barry each contributed two kills.

NVU-Johnson started on their own run in the first set of action before a service error eventually gave the Hornets their first point of the contest. Johnson captured the win in the first set by a score of 25-8. The Badgers continued to roll in the second set controlling the pace of play and dictating what the Hornets could do. The Badgers captured the win in set two by a score of 25-9. In the third and final set it was Ferris and Atkinson that made a strong push and the Badgers closed the match out winning by a score of 25-8.
