Women's Volleyball Defend as NCAA Leaders in Service Aces Per Set

JOHNSON, Vt.-With the 2019 NCAA Division III women's volleyball season now complete, Northern Vermont University-Johnson has officially been recognized as the national leaders in service aces per set for the second year in a row.

The Badgers recorded 3.98 Aces Per Set and were led by Nikola Knapova (75), Mason Lores (65) and Porsche Johnson (61). Women's volleyball edged conference rival Maine Maritime Academy who was 2ndnationally in Aces Per Set with 3.85.

"I'm very proud of this accomplishment," Head Coach Keven John stated. "We take pride in our serving and it is nice to be recognized for the hard work that the girls put in on a daily basis."

The Badgers posted a program high 13 wins in 2019 and a 5-2 record in the North Atlantic Conference and reached the semifinals of the NAC Tournament for the first time in program history.
