Women's Volleyball Add Depth with Commitment from Natalia Medina

JOHNSON, Vt.-The Northern Vermont University- Johnson women's volleyball program and Head Coach Keven John recently received commitment from Natalia Medina who will be an immediate impact for the Badgers in the fall of 2020.

Medina has signed the necessary paperwork and plans to attend NVU-Johnson this upcoming fall. When arrived at NVU-Johnson Medina will pursue a degree geared towards Exercise Science. "I chose NVU-Johnson because I was impressed by the volleyball program, and because of how hands-on the classes related to Exercise Science are. Once I visited the campus, I fell in love with the area and knew that I wanted to attend." 

Medina a native of San Jose, California and a member of the Ann Sobrato High School girls' volleyball team finished first overall in blocks and third overall in kills in her league this past season. In her senior season, Medina was a three-time Player of the Match and in the classroom has been named to the Honor Roll six times. 

"I am extremely excited to play for Coach John because of his coaching style. Not only does he think strategically, but he's realistic with plays we can do, and I look forward to learning from him," said Medina. 

Natalia Medina is excited to continue her athletic and academic career. "I am thrilled to be joining the Badger athletic family, and I can't wait to achieve success with my teammates on and off the playing surface."

Medina is the sixth commitment for Keven John and the Badgers. The NVU-Johnson women's volleyball team plans to announce additional commitments in the near future.
