Women's Cross-Country Places Fourth in VT State Meet

CASTLETON, Vt.-The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's cross-country team traveled to Castleton University to compete in the VT State Meet on Friday afternoon.

The Badgers competed against the likes of Saint Michaels College, Castleton University, Vermont Technical College and NVU-Lyndon. It was Jacqueline McCullough who led the Badgers in the 5k race. McCullough finished 20thoverall with a time of 24:55. Ellery Kiefer finished with a time of 27:12. 

Emily Cass and Kiana Johnson finished in 30thand 31stplace. Cass recorded a time of 28:06 and Johnson a time of 28:55. Freshman, Devyn Thompson and Anais Dutton rounded out the Badger lineup, Thompson finished the race in 35:12 while Dutton was the final finisher for NVU-Johnson in a time of 35:12.

St. Michael's College took home the team title with 29 points. Castleton finished right behind in second place with 48 points. Vermont Tech (77 points), Northern Vermont University-Johnson (106 points), and Northern Vermont University-Lyndon (110 points) rounded out the team finishes.
