Badgers Men's Soccer effort comes up short vs Cazenovia

Johnson, Vermont was the host site for the Badgers as they took on the Cazenovia Wildcats for the first North Atlantic conference match-up for both of the teams this season.  The Badgers, following a victory over the Vermont Tech Knights, came out ready for the Wildcats.  The open 15 minutes played to a 0-0 score until the Wildcats found an opening and struck at the 15:54 mark.  The Wildcats came back a few minutes later and following a corner kick Joaquin Romero put the ball past the Badgers keeper Patrick Austin for their 2nd goal of the match.

The Wildcats continued to posses the ball and attempted 3 more shots on Austin before Luke Schlachter scored from the top of the box to increase Cazenovia's lead to 3-0.

2 more goals in the second half allows Cazenovia to take the 5-0 win over the Badgers.

On the afternoon the Badgers had 9 shots, 3 on goal verses 28 shots, 18 on goal for the Wildcats.

The Badgers will return to action Sunday in a non-conference match vs Univ of Maine - Farmington.
