JOHNSON, Vt.- The Northern Vermont University-Johnson men's volleyball program plan to celebrate their seniors as they travel to Endicott College tomorrow to close out the 2021 NECC regular season. Next on our Senior Spotlight Series is Ryan Willette!

What are your plans after graduation?

 I want to do a road trip across the country. After that I'm thinking about going for my masters and playing some more volleyball!

 

What is one piece of advice you would give to your freshman self?

High expectations are good if they don't blind you from success.

 

Which NVU faculty or staff member has made the greatest impact on you and why?

 Coach John has been had the greatest impact on my life, because he doesn't just focus on shaping players. He cares and helps his athletes develop to be the best people they can be.

 

What one class would you retake just for fun and why?

 Art and culture of Cuba, because we got to spend a week in Cuba.

 

What is the most unique thing about your hometown?

 Wolfeboro is America's oldest summer resort.

 

What is something that people may not know about you but should?

 I have a black belt in karate.

 

Other than the sport(s) you play, what is the other one you'd like to attempt?

 I would have loved to play basketball.

 

What one proffessional athlete (past or present) would you like to have a conversation with and why?

 I would have a conversation with Shaun White because he's just a good human.

 

List two things that appear on your post-NVU bucket list?

 I want to travel anywhere outside of the US and then start designing snowboards.

 

What was your most memorable moment in competition during your Badger career?

 It has to be Austin coming off the bench for the windmill serve to win our first game ever as a school.
