Harden is the newest Men's Volleyball commit for the NVU-Johnson Badgers

JOHNSON, Vt.-The Northern Vermont University-Johnson men's volleyball team and Head Coach Keven John has announced an additional commitment for the 2021-2022 season.

A transfer from Trine University, Eli Harden calls Artesia, New Mexico home where he was a student-athlete at Artesia High School. He has made his deposit solidifying his commitment to join the Badger athletic family at Northern Vermont University-Johnson in the fall of 2021. 

The volleyball coaching staff is excited to have Eli Harden join the program. "Harden's team mindset, positive attitude, and work ethic will be a welcome addition to our growing program and volleyball culture. We are excited to have him on-board and look forward to seeing him in action on the court."

Harden indicates that he is "extremely excited to play for Coach John. Not only is he a great and respectable person, but his volleyball knowledge is meritorious. I look forward to learning as much as a I can from Coach John and Utilizing what I learn for him in the future as I plan to return to coaching after my college career."

Harden plans to pursue a degree in Political Science & Social Studies education. Northern Vermont University Johnson was just the ticket he was seeking. "Being a soldier in the Army National Guard, I'll get 100% free tuition by attending NVU-Johnson. NVU-Johnson also had the exact degree plan I was looking for and to top it all off, Coach John said all the right things to make me want to play for him over any other coach I talked to during the transfer process."

Harden was named New Mexico's Best College Men's Volleyball Player by Off the Block. Before attending NVU-Johnson he previously coached U14s at New Mexico Cactus Volleyball Club.

Head Coach Keven John plans to announce additional commitments for 2021-2022 in the future.
