Badgers Earn Commitment from Sabrina Colon for 2022 Season

JOHNSON, Vt.- The Northern Vermont University-Johnson softball program and Head Coach Anya Adams have announced an additional commitment for the 2022 season.

Sabrina Colon has signed the necessary paperwork and has committed to NVU-Johnson and the softball program. Colon will arrive on campus in the fall of 2021 where she will pursue her degree in business administration. Colon is a native of Plainview, Long Island, New York and a student-athlete at Saint Dominic High School.

During her time at Saint Dominic, Colon received the coaches award in softball for the past three years. Colon also competed on the varsity volleyball team and varsity bowling team. "I chose NVU-Johnson because their business program stood out to me from the start," said Colon. "I loved the size of the campus and also the surroundings that the Northeast Kingdom provides, and I wanted to attend a smaller institution."

"Sabrina brings outfield experience and the ability to hit for power to our program," said Adams. "She is extremely coachable with a positive attitude and I am really looking forward to helping her reach her potential on the field."

Colon will provide additional depth for the Badgers roster and will make an impact for the program headed into the 2022 season.

"I am so excited to join the Badger family and meet all of my new teammates. I am also very excited to compete for Coach Adams, from the recruitment process she seemed amazing and will help me develop over time."

The NVU-Johnson women's softball program and Head Coach Anya Adams plans to announce additional commitments in the near future.
