JOHNSON, Vt.-The Northern Vermont University-Johnson softball program and Head Coach Anya Adams have announced an additional commitment for the 2022 season. 

Ella Embry has signed the necessary paperwork and has made her commitment to NVU-Johnson and the women's softball program. Embry a native of Wylie, Texas and a student-athlete at Wylie High School plans to pursue a degree in outdoor education when arrived at NVU-Johnson. 

"I chose Northern Vermont University-Johnson because of the variety of majors and different classes that the institution offers. I really was attracted to the overall atmosphere of the school." 

"Ella comes to us as a true utility player and will be able to help us by stepping in at multiple infield and outfield positions," said Adams. "She has extremely soft hands in the field and the ability to hit for power at the plate.  I'm excited that she chose NVU-Johnson as the place to continue her softball career."

Embry becomes the sixth commitment for Coach Anya Adams in her first year at NVU-Johnson. Coach Adams and the softball program plan to announce additional commitments in the near future.
