Badger Bats Struggle in NAC Losses to Terriers

JOHNSON, Vt.-The Northern Vermont University-Johnson softball team dropped two North Atlantic Conference games to the Thomas College Terriers on Sunday afternoon.

 

GAME 1 – Thomas 23, Johnson 0

The Terriers scored twice in the first and added one in both the second and third to go up 4-0. Thomas went off for 14 runs in the fourth followed by five in the final stint of action to earn the win. 

Laura Dattilio was the top performer for the Badgers recording two hits. Savannah Dufrense, Mia Blackwell and Ellery Kiefer each recorded one hit but the Badgers would remain scoreless for the game. 

Jordan Devine earned the win on the mound for the Terriers while Nicole Mooney would drop to 0-3 on the season.

 

GAME 2 – Thomas 13, Johnson 0

The Terriers would open up the second game scoring two runs, but it wasn't until the second inning when Thomas would record a six-run inning. 

The Badgers would struggle to get the bats going as Dattilio and Jade Jamieson would record the only hits for NVU-Johnson. 

Claudia Migliaccio would earn the win for the Terriers on the mound in the final game and Mooney dropped to 0-4 on the season. 

 

NVU-Johnson will host Maine Presque-Isle for a NAC doubleheader on Saturday, April 17.
