Softball Concludes NAC Weekend with Doubleheader Loss at UMF

FARMINGTON, ME.- The Northern Vermont University-Johnson softball team concluded the weekend at Maine Farmington in a North Atlantic Conference doubleheader. The Badgers were swept losing by scores of 12-1 and 13-1. 

Game One: NVU-Johnson 1, UMF 12

Laura Dattilio, Mia Blackwell and Ellery Kiefer each registered runs for the Badgers in game one while Kiefer earned the lone RBI. Nicole Mooney pitched four innings earning two strikeouts while giving up ten hits and ten earned runs to the Beavers. 

Morgan Noyes went 2-3 at the plate with two RBIs, Broghan Gagnon earned two RBIs. Callie Hammer recorded a triple and a double while batting in two RBIs and Olivia Paradis contributed two RBIs. Leah Stevens rounded out the top performers for the Beavers going 3-3 from the plate with three runs.

 

Game Two: NVU-Johnson 1, UMF 13

Julianna Reed was the top performer for the Badgers earning two hits and a run while Dattilio, Mooney and senior Annika Dyhrberg each earned a hit. It was the Beavers who recorded 13 hits and recorded 11 runs in the first stint of action.
