Women’s Softball Gains New Commit Kylie Oliver out of Carleton, MI

Johnson, VT. – The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's softball team adds a new commit for the 2021-2022 season.

Previously attending Monroe County Middle College, Kylie Oliver is a utility player out of Carleton, MI. She has made her deposit, confirming that she will join the Badgers in the Fall 2021 semester. Head coach Anya Adams says "Kylie has the potential to contribute in many ways to our team, from her ability to execute from both sides of the plate to her experience in multiple positions on the field. Her footwork and glove work are solid and I'm excited to see what she will do in a Badger uniform!"

Oliver is planning to major in Pre-Professional Health Sciences. Her current accolades include multiple MVP awards from elite level softball tournaments. In high school she was an honor roll student as well as the head of her school's substance abuse/mental health organization.

Oliver Chose NVU-Johnson because she's always wanted to travel and attending college in a new state was an easy way to do that. She says that she is very excited to attend NVU-Johnson and play for Coach Adams, even though she is a little nervous to leave her home state of Michigan.

When asked about her favorite athletic memory, Oliver replied "When my travel softball team went to the Disney tournament in Florida and won." Her favorite athlete is Derek Jeter, and she enjoys Italian, Mediterranean, and Mexican food.

Additional softball commitments for the 2021-2022 season will be announced in the future.
