JOHNSON, Vt. – The Johnson State College men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Vermont State Meet on Saturday morning. The men placed 6th as a team while the women finished 7th.
MEN'S RECAP
Sheldon Billings (Ossipee, N.H.) finished first for Johnson with a time of 35:04.6, good for 29th overall. He was followed by Daniel Ott (Wyoming, N.Y.), who came in 30th. Richard Radcliff (Danbury, Conn.) came in 31st, while Jacob Greenia (Sheldon, Vt.) and Cole Shebak (Brookline, N.H.) rounded out the top five for Johnson.
WOMEN'S RECAP
Brynn Cairns (Rutland, Vt.) was Johnson's top runner, finishing 18th overall with a time of 21:54.3. She was followed by Sarah Sodaro (Monkton, Vt.), who came in 38th, and Kate Abdel-Fatah (Braintree, Vt.), who finished 40th. Jessica Malskis (Jay, N.Y.) came in 41st, while Emily Cass (Braintree, Vt.) rounded out the top five, coming in 44th.
