On Saturday our Badger's Softball hosted NVU Lyndon at home for a double header. The first game was a tightly contested softball game, Northern Vermont-Johnson battled against Northern Vermont-Lyndon and narrowly lost by a score of 3-4. Northern Vermont-Johnson got off to a strong start by scoring 2 runs in the first inning, followed by another run in the fourth inning. Alexis Fleischer and Nadia Claude each contributed an RBI, while Nadia Claude, Jennavieve Rapoza, and Abby Terry had doubles. Although Northern Vermont-Lyndon fought back with a run in the third inning and 3 runs in the seventh inning, Northern Vermont-Johnson's defense held strong throughout the game. Despite facing a tough opponent, Abby Terry pitched a complete game, allowing only 4 runs on 9 hits and striking out 7 batters.

In the second game of the doubleheader between Northern Vermont-Lyndon and Northern Vermont-Johnson, Johnson emerged victorious with a final score of 5-2. The game was tied 1-1 going into the fourth inning, but Johnson's offense exploded with four runs in the bottom of the fourth, thanks in part to a three-run home run by Jennavieve Rapoza. Mariah Muskin pitched a solid seven innings for Johnson, allowing only four hits and two runs with four strikeouts. Johnson's Makenna Drake and Brianna Belisle also had strong offensive performances, each collecting two hits and scoring a combined three runs.

Softball

On Sunday our Softball Badgers also hosted another double header against Lesley College.

In the first game our Badgers were able to emerged as the victor, winning by a score of 9-5. Their offensive effort was led by Brianna Belisle, who scored three runs and drew two walks, and Jennavieve Rapoza, who had three RBIs on one hit. Makenna Drake, Abby Terry, and Nadia Claude also had notable performances, each contributing multiple hits and RBIs to Johnson's total.

On the pitching side, Alexis Fleischer was the winning pitcher for Johnson, going 6.1 innings and allowing five runs on 10 hits and one walk while striking out seven. Abby Terry pitched the final two outs of the game and recorded two strikeouts.

Abby Terry, who also pitched for Johnson, went 2-for-4 with a crucial RBI to put her team on the board. Mariah Muskin also had a solid outing, going 1-for-2 with 2 RBIs. Alexis Fleischer and Ella Embry contributed with one hit each, while Makenna Drake and Embry each stole a base. 

Abby Terry had a solid performance on the mound, giving up only six hits and one walk in four innings of work. Mariah Muskin also pitched well in relief, allowing just two earned runs over three innings.

Tennis

The final score was 6-3 in favor of SUNY Delhi, but Johnson managed to win three matches.

In the doubles, Johnson's pair of J. Fagan and M. Semega won 8-2 against Malachi Ritter and Chris Galves of Delhi, giving Johnson their first victory of the day.

Moving to the singles matches, Johnson's Riley Fitzgerald won 6-0, 6-3 against Ryan Fitzpatrick of Delhi, earning another win for Johnson.

Lastly, Johnson's J. Fagan won his singles match 6-1, 6-0 against Chris Galves of Delhi, bringing Johnson's total wins to three.
