Sportsmanship

*The team captain is responsible for the actions of any player of the team and for spectators directly related to it.*

A part of the philosophy of the Intramural Sports and Recreation Program is that good sportsmanship is vital to the conduct of every contest. The importance of winning should never become so overriding that players lose sight of appropriate behavior. Failure to display an acceptable degree of sportsmanship referees/event staff have the right to ask participant to leave the game. Administration will be notified as well depending on the situation and proper action will be taken.

  • Drugs/Alcohol/Tabaco products are prohibited during any Intramural Sports and Recreation Program event.
  • Profanity, vulgarity, racist or sexist comments are not permitted.
  • Physical/Verbal abuse will not be tolerated.
  • Referees and event staff has the final word.

*The conduct of all players before and after the game is as important as conduct during the game.*
