Eagles Roll Past Johnson 90-58

BANGOR, Maine - Johnson State saw host Husson University use an overwhelming 50-27 rebounding advantage to key a 90-58 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) men's basketball victory on Friday night.  Johnson slides to 5-19, 5-12 NAC while Husson steps up to 13-11, 12-5 NAC.

Johnson received 12 points from junior Andy Bousono (Philadelphia, Penn./Nueva Esperanza) (pictured) to go with four assists.  Senior forward Alen Turan (Essex, Vt./Essex) added eight points and five rebounds.

Husson was led by Luis Medina's 18-point, six-assist effort.  Senior Brad Libby scored 11 points and Dan Fleming, Jon Klages, and Daeshawn McMorrin all added 10 points.

The Eagles rolled to a 47-26 halftime lead behind nine 3-point field goals.  JSC could not close the gap any closer than 19 in the second half.

The Badgers will wrap up their regular-season schedule on Saturday at 3:00 pm with a game at Maine Maritime Academy.  Johnson can finish as high as the #6 seed or as low as the #8 seed for the NAC playoffs depending on the outcomes of Saturday's NAC games.  Husson will face Lyndon State on Saturday at 3:00 pm and is locked into the #4 seed for the NAC post-season tournament.
