Johnson State Drops to NAC Foe Husson University 91-55

Bangor, ME – On Saturday afternoon, the Johnson State men's basketball was topped by Husson University 91-55 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) match up. Johnson State College is now 6-8 overall and 4-4 in the NAC.

Johnson's offense was led by  Cody Camisa (Colchester, Vt. / Colchester)and Bryan Hickey (Barre, Vt./Spaulding). Camisa scored 18 points, pulled down two boards and had a steal and an assist. Hickey recorded his seventh double-double of the season, scoring 12 points and pulling down 11 rebounds.

Sophomore Aaron Willis (New York, NY / William Floyd) contributed 14 points and grabbed two steals toward Husson's win. Eric Modica (Kittery, ME / Traip Academy) also helped the Eagles with 10 points.

The two teams kept the score close for the first seven minutes of the game until Modica and Wes Murphy (Norwich, CT / Norwich Free Academy) put Husson up 20-12 just over eight minutes into the game.  Johnson State then cut the Husson lead to four moments later. Husson would go on to lead by as many as 19 in the first half with the teams heading into the locker rooms with a score of 47-28 Husson.

Husson lead by as many as 39 in the second half, managing 69 shots on the evening to Johnson's 42.  The Badgers would close the game with a pair of Cory Chase (Milton, Vt. / Milton) free throws to bring the final tally to 91-55.

Both Husson and Johnson are off until Thursday evening when each will play an in-state rival. Husson will travel to Farmington to take on the Beavers and Johnson travels to Castleton with tip-offs being at 7:30pm.
