Freshman Curtis Arsenaultscored a team-high 17 points and sophomore Uche Nwokeji  added a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds Tuesday evening as Plymouth State University ran past Johnson State College, 95-60, in non-conference men's basketball action at Foley Gymnasium.

Arsenault and Nwokeji were two of six Panthers who scored in double figures as senior Petey Skevasjunior Alex Burtand freshman Logan Kestytossed in 12 points apiece and junior Michael Elliott-Baltimorechipped in with 10 points. PSU stopped a four-game losing streak and improved to 7-5 on the season, while the Badgers slipped to 2-7.

All six Panther leading scorers shot at least 50 percent from the field as PSU converted at a season-best 54.8 percent clip as a team, putting up its largest point total since a 100-93 double overtime victory at the University of Southern Maine on Feb. 14, 2012. The Panthers also out-rebounded the visitors, 44-21.

Senior Bryan Hickey led all scorers with 19 points for the Badgers, making 8-of-13 shots from the field and grabbing a team-high six rebounds. Sophomore Asim Khan chipped in with 12 points and juniors Ron Adrian and Cory Chase added eight points each.

The game was tied 15-all midway through the first half when PSU scored seven unanswered points, including five by Arsenault, to take the lead for good. The Panthers stretched their lead to 15 points after a traditional three-point play by Arsenault with 4:39 to play, and it was a 14-point margin at the intermission, 54-40. Arsenault and JSC's Hickey each scored 13 points in the first 20 minutes.

Plymouth State opened the second half with a 10-2 spurt to push the lead up to 22 points, and the Panthers coasted to the win the rest of the way.

PSU returns to Little East Conference play Saturday, hosting Western Connecticut State University in a 3:00 p.m. tip-off.  Johnson State returns to North Atlantic Conference action Saturday with a visit to Lyndon State College for a 1:00 p.m. start.
