JOHNSON, Vt.-The Northern Vermont University-Johnson men's basketball team capped on Senior Night in Carter Gymnasium with an 85-70 win over Husson University on Saturday evening.

The Badgers had four players score in double figures led by Robert Dubose who scored a game high 15 points. Kiyl Mack capped off the top Badger performers as he added 12 points on an impressive 6-9 shooting from the field.

NVU-Johnson shot an impressive 50.0% from the field and held the Eagles to just 46.6%. But it was the second chance points that gave the Badgers the advantage as they out rebounded the Eagles 37-26.

The Badgers opened up the game on a 12-5 run and held the lead through regulation. With just five minutes remaining in the first half the Eagles cut the deficit to just five points but back to back baskets from Shokeye and Zach Shedd gave the Badgers the momentum in the final minutes of the half as they took the 37-28 lead headed into the break.

NVU-Johnson came out of the break and started the second half on a 12-2 run forcing the Eagle timeout. Midway through the half the Badgers pushed the lead to 20 points and remained ahead for the remainder of the contest to earn their fifth win of the season.
