Coach Johnson Records 300th Career Win

As the Johnson Badgers Men's Basketball team celebrated clinching their first trip to the NAC Finals, the foundation of the accomplishment rested on a history that now includes 300 career wins for Coach Alfred Johnson. At the onset of the season, Johnson predicted, "this is the year for the program to turn the corner and become a yearly winning program." With a career that spans a variety of accolades that include being the third all-time winningest coach at Holy Family University, Conference Coach of the Year, and developing players that include All-Americans across numerous institutions, and now the 300-win mark, Johnson's prediction has become a reality thanks to his commitment to the players both on and off the court.

Says Athletic Director Greg Eckman, "We are extremely proud of Alfred Johnson's accomplishments throughout his career and since he's become a Johnson Badger. His commitment has always been to the development of the young men on and off the court and because of this, the winning has followed. It's been an honor to have him on our staff as he's not only a great coach, but an incredible administrator and a mentor to all within the department. Congratulations to Alfred and his wife. Wanda supports him at every step of the way. It's an amazing honor and I know he's got many wins ahead of him and many more lives he's going to impact."
