Cheromiah Leads Badgers in Back-to-Back Invites

JOHNSON, VT – The Men's Golf took to the course for the Badger Invitational followed by the Tony Mariano Invitational, finishing in 4th and 8th place as a team, respectively. Adiance Cheromiah again led the way for the Badgers with a score of 89, landing him a strong 7th place overall finish at the Badger Invite. Teammate, Jack Senecal, wfinished next for the Badgers, logging a 98 on the tougher course, made more impressive for all considering the cold and rainy conditions. The Badgers returned for action at Norwich's Tony Mariano Invitational, where Cheromiah and Senecal again posted the top two score for Johnson, with 85 and 89 respectively. Senecal's front-nine score of 43 was his best opening of the season, followed by a back-nine score of 46 that nearly matched Cheromiah's 45.

Thursday evening, Cheromiah and Darone Frierson represented the Badgers as individuals competing in the SUNY Canton Invitational, where Frierson was just 5 strokes shy of a season best and Cheromiah displayed his consistency with an 88. The Badgers compete next at VTSU Castleton's two-day invitational at Rutland Country Club this weekend, Saturday and Sunday.
