MSOC: Badgers Fall Short Against Mariners

CASTINE, ME — The Northern Vermont University-Johnson men's soccer team fell 3-0 to Maine Maritime in their North Atlantic Conference (NAC) contest on Saturday evening. The Badgers move to 9-6 overall and 3-3 in NAC play. The Mariners improve to 7-6-1 overall and 5-1 in NAC competition.

SCORING

1st Half: Both teams had close opportunities throughout the first half, but it was the Mariners' Dalton Moore who found the back of the net in the 44th minute giving Maine Maritime a 1-0 lead at the end of the half. 

2nd Half: Maine Maritime wasted no time to extend their lead off an unassisted goal by Colby Clarke. The Mariners' Liam Welch added one more goal in the 77th minute to give Maine Maritime a 3-0 victory over Northern Vermont University-Johnson.

The Badgers will close out the regular season on Tuesday, October 23rd in a conference matchup versus SUNY Canton. The game will be held at 2:30PM at Minaert Field.
