NORTHFIELD, Vt.-The Northern Vermont University-Johnson men's soccer team opened up the 2021 season at Norwich University on Wednesday evening. A strong second half pursuit led the Cadets over the Badgers.

The Cadets took the lead on a NVU-Johnson own goal at the 8:23 mark of the first half and it was all Norwich from there as the Cadets outshot the Badgers 41-1 throughout the contest. The Cadets capitalized on two goals in the first half.

Norwich continued to be impressive in the second half and scored eight goals while holding the Badgers scoreless.

Thomy Mwali earned the only shot for the Badgers. Gabe Adancourt and Michael Weston split time in the goal for the Badgers. Adancourt earned seven saves.

The Badgers return to action this weekend as they face Cazenovia on Saturday, April 10.
