Johnson, Vermont was the host site for the Badgers as they took on the Cazenovia Wildcats for the first North Atlantic conference match-up for both of the teams this season. The Badgers, following a victory over the Vermont Tech Knights, came out ready for the Wildcats. The open 15 minutes played to a 0-0 score until the Wildcats found an opening and struck at the 15:54 mark. The Wildcats continued to posses the ball and attempted 3 more shots on Austin before Luke Schlachter scored from the top of the box to increase Cazenovia's lead to 3-0.
2 more goals in the second half allows Cazenovia to take the 5-0 win over the Badgers.
On the afternoon the Badgers had 9 shots, 3 on goal verses 28 shots, 18 on goal for the Wildcats.
The Badgers will return to action Sunday in a non-conference match vs Univ of Maine - Farmington.
