HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - Johnson State opened their 2012 season in South Carolina on Thursday falling 9-0 to Defiance College of Ohio.  The Badgers look to be a contender in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) East Division in 2012.  The coaches in the NAC East voted Johnson to a second-place tie with Castleton State College and behind Colby-Sawyer College in the pre-season poll.
