WATERVILLE, Maine - The Johnson State men's tennis team picked up their first win of the young season by defeating host Thomas College on Sunday 7-2. The Badgers now stand at 1-5 overall, 1-0 in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) while Thomas is 0-1, 0-1 NAC.
The victory was keyed by a come-from-behind win by senior Ryan Joy (North Montpelier, Vt./U-32) (pictured) at #1 singles 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 and a hard-faught win at #3 singles by senior Alen Turan (Essex, Vt./Essex) who scratched out a 6-2, 4-6, 7-6 (11-9) victory.
