Castleton completed the season sweep over Johnson St. this afternoon with a 9-0 victory in North Atlantic Conference play at the Castleton Tennis Courts.

The Spartans turned in a dominant performance, sweeping the doubles games and capturing four of the six singles matches by perfect scores of 6-0, 6-0. Castleton stands at 8-2 on the season and 3-1 in the conference, while the Badgers remain winless at 0-10 on the season.

Seth Marcil and Kevin Rosset captured their seventh win of the year with an 8-1 victory in top-flight doubles.Soren Pelz-Walsh and Quentin Barthe teamed up in the No. 2 slot to snag a perfect 8-0 victory, followed by an 8-1 win in the third-flight by Trevor Hanna and Ryan Mulder to give the squad a 3-0 lead. 

Marcil and Rosset maintained their solid play into singles action, capturing the top two matches by perfect scores of 6-0, 6-0 to put Castleton in front, 5-0. Pelz-Walsh and Barthe took the No. 3 and 4 matches by scores of 6-0, 6-0, while Andrew Overton and Tyler Wilcox claimed the fifth and sixth-flight matches to secure the perfect, 9-0 victory. 

The Spartans are back in action tomorrow afternoon when they travel to Lyndonville, Vt. to face off with the Lyndon Hornets in non-conference action.
