Men's Volleyball Receive Another Commitment for 2019-2020 Campaign

JOHNSON, Vt.- The Northern Vermont University-Johnson men's volleyball team and Head Coach Keven John have gained commitment from Jason Madrid for the 2019-2020 season.

Madrid comes to Northern Vermont University-Johnson from Aurora, Colorado. Madrid was a student at Eaglecrest High School and will pursue a degree in Special Education when arrived at NVU-Johnson. "I chose to attend NVU-Johnson because of the Special Education program. I will strive to work in that field after I graduate", said Madrid. "The fact that they have a department just for Special Education is simply amazing to me".

Madrid looks to provide depth to the men's volleyball roster next season as the team will compete in their second year of the program and their first year in the New England Collegiate Conference. "I am excited to join the Badger family", said Madrid. "The student body seems very supportive of athletics at NVU-Johnson and I love playing in front of a great crowd".

Madrid is excited to play for Head Coach Keven John and knows that with the right work ethic the team can compete at a high level. "I'm excited to play for Coach John because he seems to really push for men's volleyball country wide. I am ready to learn from him and grow as a player".
