Badgers Place 4th at Green Mountain Invitational

Evan Quinones set a new course record as he paced the SUNY Cobleskill men's cross country team to a first place finish at the Green Mountain College Invitational on Saturday morning.

Quinones covered the 8K course in a time of 25:02 which set the record after the GMC course was restructured this past year.  He was followed by Sage runner Juan Reyes-Alvare who finished second in a time of 25:27.  Third place belonged to Isaac French from Castleton State College who crossed the finish line in a time of 25:31.  Rounding out the top five finishers was Dan Fields from SUNY Cobleskill with a time of 25:45 and Peter McKenna from St. Michael's College who finished in a time of 25:51.

The battle for first place was tightly contested as Castleton finished in a close second place a mere two points behind SUNY Cobleskill's team score of 49.  St. Michael's College earned a third place finish with a score of 62.

Johnson State College placed 4th with a total team score of 104. The Badgers placed two runners in the top 15 seeing Brendan Walsh finish in 9th place in 26:48 and Steven Lamonde (13th) who ran the course in 27:07.
