The Johnson State College men's cross country team placed 6th overall in the Vermont State Cross Country meet Saturday morning at Vermont Tech's campus. 

The men's race was won by Sam Klockenkemper of Middlebury College, crossing the finish line in 27:31. For Johnson, junior Brendan Walsh finished 11th overall, first for Johnson and was named to the all-state team.

The Badgers will return to the trails next week when they compete in the Runnin' Monks race at St. Joe's in Maine.
