Badgers Take Two Against Fighting Saints

Johnson State completed a clean sweep (9-1, 12,4) of St. Joe's College today on a snowy afternoon at Johnson State College for a non-conference double header. With the wins the Badgers advance to 8-8 overall and 3-3 in the NAC.

The Badgers got on the board in the bottom half of the first inning, answering a lone run in the top of the first from SJC. Johnson posted six runs early, seeing Casey Hogan Jennie Moore, Anna Bingham, Kristy McDonnell and Andrea Williams cross home. With a 6-1 lead, the Badgers secured their win early needing only three more runs over four innings  to seal the 9-1 win. 

In game two, the Badgers used a slower build to take a 12-4 victory earning three runs in the first inning, five in the second and four in the third. The Fighting Saints were able to earn all four runs after gaining some momentum after a Johnson error at first base. 

Andrea Williams went the distance on the mound in the first game allowing only four hits and one run over five innings while Kristy McDonnell pitched five innings allowing four funs off of six hits. 

The Badgers travel to Husson on Sunday April 26th, for a pair of conference games.
