
JOHNSON, Vt. – The Johnson State College women's basketball team fell to Colby-Sawyer College 68-43 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) game on Saturday afternoon at Carter Gym.
The Badgers finish the season 3-22 overall and 2-16 in the NAC while the Chargers go to 20-5 (15-3 NAC).
1st QUARTER
The Badgers battled back from an early 10-4 deficit to tie the game at 12 at the end of the first.
2nd QUARTER
After a Kayla Coombs (West Rutland, Vt.) jumper tied the game at 19 at the 6:46 mark in the second, Colby-Sawyer used a 10-2 run to take a 29-21 lead with a minute and a half left in the half. Mariah Ramos (Lebanon, N.H.) cut the lead back down to six with a jump shot and the Chargers took a 29-23 lead into the break.
3rd QUARTER
Colby-Sawyer separated themselves in the third quarter, doubling up the Badgers 20-10 in the quarter to take a 49-33 lead into the final quarter.
4th QUARTER
The Chargers kept their distance, outscoring Johnson by five in the fourth to take the 68-43 victory.
