Engineers Topple Badgers

The Worcester Polytechnic Institute women's soccer team scored six second half goals to run away with a 9-0 non-conference win Saturday afternoon. The Badgers' lone shot came from rookie Briana Stadler. WPI enjoyed a 31-1 bulge in shots and attempted nine of the game's 10 corner kicks.

Johnson State's Amber McCullock turned away an impressive 12 saves while WPI's Maddie Willer was credited with the win. Neither Willer or second half keeper Sarah Monteith were called on to record a save.

The Badgers will host their home opener against non-conference opponent Curry this Saturday at 2:00pm while the Engineers will face tournament hosts, Norwich in a 1:00pm game Sunday afternoon.
