UMaine-Farmington downed the Johnson State College Badgers 7-2, in Saturday's North Atlantic Conference Tournament Quarterfinal match at Prescott Field. Third-seeded UMaine-Farmington (9-6-3) now advances to Tuesday's NAC Tournament Semifinals, and will face second-seeded Castleton State College. Sixth-seeded Johnson State College finished the season with a 7-10-0 record.

Johnson State gave an early challenge to UMaine-Farmington, scoring just 35 seconds into the game on an unassisted goal by Maddison Prescott. However, the Beavers got the goal back in the fifth minutes when Farmington senior Renee Dupre finished a corner kick by junior Ava Amador, and Amador's goal in the 29^th minute off an assist by Sara Quimby gave Farmington a lead it held the rest of the way.

Freshman Bridget Humphrey netted a goal in the 43^rd minute, off an assist by Quimby, to extend UMaine-Farmington's lead to 3-1 at the intermission.

Senior Kayla Tuttle and junior Alexandra Crocker scored early in the second half in a span of just under three minutes apart, in the 58^th and 60^th minutes, to give the Beavers a 5-1 lead. Sophomore Shelby Bryant continued UMaine-Farmington's scoring run with a goal in the 71^st minute, taking advantage of a loose rebound after Humphrey's blast only seconds early caromed hard off the right post.

Prescott broke Farmington's momentum with her second goal of the day, an unassisted tally only 22 seconds after Bryant's goal that cut the UMF lead to 6-2.

Dupre capped the day's scoring with her second of the day in the 86^th minute, with Colleen Tourigny getting credit for an assist.

UMaine-Farmington outshot Johnson State by a 34-4 margin, and had 11 corner kicks to the Badgers' one. Johnson's sophomore keeper Shannon Grier charted 15 saves in net for the Badgers, while Farmington starter Beth Lebel and reserve keeper Amy Jones each played a half but did not record a save.
