Johnson State Drops Conference Tilt 5-1

The Colby-Sawyer women's soccer team rolled to a 5-1 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) victory over Johnson State on Sunday afternoon at Minaert Field. 

The Chargers have won six straight and improved to 8-2-2 overall and 6-0 in the NAC while Johnson State falls to 4-9 overall and 2-5 in the league. 

Alannah Farley tallied the Badgers' lone goal while Dominique Papa scored twice for the Chargers and Rachel Quaye,Nell McQueeney and Natalie Ellard each added single goals. 

Karley Hamilton earned the win for the Chargers in 82 minutes of action with two saves. Oona Bond played the remaining eight minutes. Nichole Weeks made 10 saves for the Badgers. 

The Chargers had a 26-5 advantage in shots and took 11 corner kicks, while Johnson State did not take any. 

Johnson State will host Lyndon State on Wednesday at 1:30 pm.
