
JOHNSON, Vt. - The Johnson State College women's soccer team fell to Green Mountain College 5-0 in their first North Atlantic Conference (NAC) match of the season on Saturday afternoon at Minaert Field.
SCORING
1st Half: The Eagles (4-0, 1-0 NAC) netted four goals in the opening frame from four different players. Maya Golowasch, Hayley Buffum, Kali DeMarco and Taylor Merritt each notched goals to put the Badgers (3-3, 0-1 NAC) down 4-0 at the break.
2nd Half: Hayley Buffum made it a 5-0 game with a goal in the 60th minute to finish the scoring.

Kaila Lemmer (Barnard, Vt., 3-3) took the loss, allowing four goals on six shots in 45 minutes of work. She was relieved in the second half by Mia Blackwell (Eastham, Mass.) who gave up a goal on six shots. Jessica Casey (4-0) earned the shutout win, making three saves.
