Strong First Half Lifts Terriers Over Women's Soccer

WATERVILLE, Vt.-The Northern Vermont University-Johnson men's soccer team dropped a conference game on the road to Thomas College on Sunday afternoon.

SCORING

1st Half: Katherine Hoving scored the first goal of the contest in the 4thminute of action. The Terrier rattled off six first half goals, Hoving recorded a hat trick in the first period scoring two other goals in the 15thand 22ndminute of play. Madison Cantara scored two goals that came in the 9thminute and 27thminute of action.

2nd Half: Hoving continued to be impressive scoring in the 54thminute to extend the lead to 7-0. Taylor Peno earned a penalty kick and capitalized with a goal in the 59thminute of action. The Terriers closed the game scoring two more goals in the 73rdminute and 89thminute of play. Jordan Pelland recorded the only shot on goal for the Badgers.

With the loss the Badgers move to 0-12 on the season and 0-6 in NAC play.

 

GOALKEEPERS

Allison Irons and Aysha Hodgdon split time in goal for the Badgers. Irons recorded 17:29 as the keeper and allowed one goal. Hodgdon played 72:31 in goal recording 13 saves.
