Women's Soccer Earns Commitment from Bree Messier

JOHNSON, Vt.-The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's soccer program and head coach Andrew Lafrenz announced earlier this week a commitment for the fall of 2021.

Bree Messier a native of Richford, Vermont and a student-athlete at Richford Junior Senior High School has signed the necessary paperwork and has officially committed to the NVU-Johnson women's soccer program for the fall of 2021.

When arrived at Northern Vermont University-Johnson, Bree plans to pursue a degree in Psychology. "I chose NVU-Johnson because it is relatively close to where I live, but most importantly I chose NVU-Johnson because when I first arrived on campus it felt like home," said Messier.

At Richford Junior Senior High School, Messier was a two-sport athlete competing in both soccer and basketball. After her interscholastic career, Messier attended Community College of Vermont before making the decision to transfer to NVU-Johnson and compete at the intercollegiate level.

"I'm looking forward to making new connections and meeting new people. I'm super excited to compete for Coach Lafrenz, his expectations seem realistic and throughout the recruiting process he emphasized that my education and family comes before soccer and that is something that I valued in making my decision."

With the commitment of Messier, the Badgers will add depth to their roster in 2021. Coach Lafrenz plans to announce additional commitments for the fall of 2021 in the near future!
