Badgers Fall on the Road to NEC

Henniker, N.H. - The Northern Vermont University-Johnson women's soccer team traveled to New England College on Saturday afternoon. The Badgers fell to the Pilgrims by a score of 8-0.

The Badgers were outshot 29-3 in the game. New England College took an early 1-0 lead in the first four minutes of action with a goal by Leeann Demirjian. The Pilgrims would add on four goals taking a 5-0 lead by the half. In the second half, the Badgers could not gain any offense, as the Pilgrims added on three goals and never looked back.

Isabella Masi recorded two shots on goal and Denyce Ruiz contributed one shot on goal but the Badgers would struggle to get offense going. 

Emily Carchia got the start for the Badgers in goal, the freshman recorded 21 saves, but it wasn't enough to hold off the Pilgrims. The Badgers were unable to break the backline of NEC defense.
