VTSU Johnson Women's Soccer welcomes welcomes Sophia Johnson as she commits to joining the program next fall. The La Center High School team captain was a two-time All-League goalkeeper honors recipient, in addition to representing the AYSO Valor soccer club.

"Extremely excited that Sophia and her family chose Johnson for her education and to be part of our program. Despite the fact that she has never had Ben and Jerry's, we believe she will be a great for our team, our campus and our state. Sophia is an athletic keeper, with strong fundamentals who has played in high pressure games. I know she will be a great teammate and student and we are looking forward to having a chance to work with her these next few years. I believe she will come to Johnson this fall and compete right away for playing time. She will make us better," said Coach Peterson.
